Museum Freelance have launched a grant fund to provide emergency support for freelancers who work with museums, heritage sites, galleries, archives and libraries in the UK. The ambition is to provide short-term relief to freelancers whose income has been severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), have produced information about the various funding streams available as part of the £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund. As part of the biggest ever one-off investment in UK culture, the #HereForCulture campaign has been launched to help support Britain’s globally renowned arts, culture and heritage industries.
Lancashire businesses can apply for grants of between £1,000 – £3,000 to help them access new technology and other equipment to help them adapt, recover and rebuild. The support will also extend to professional, legal, financial or other advice. Support will be fully funded by the government from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
