This is a new fund of approx. £2,000,000 to support Black, Asian and ethnically diverse theatre makers in the North to make ambitious new work. The fund redistributes public funding previously allocated to Eclipse Theatre Company and will continue our support for the types of innovative theatre, touring and artist development that the Company was recognised for. Specific criteria apply, and there are two stages to the application process. The deadline for Stage 1 applications is 12pm (midday) on 27 January 2026.

North West filmmakers — Share your Short! Submit for FREE to Imagine Futures Cinema, a regular screening programme based at Shakespeare North Playhouse in Liverpool, kicking off this September, runs until February 2026.
Our Pitch Pot fund provides organisations with quick-fire micro-grants for one-off events and short screening programmes. Awards up to: £3,000. Support for in-person & online events. The fund is suitable for organisations looking to start a local screening programme, put on a special event, or enhance their existing programme with extra audience development work. We champion UK short film, and shine a spotlight on supporting Lancashire Filmmakers. We accept submissions from all UK based short film makers with the following categories; "LA1Shorts Best Film" for UK wide submissions, a locally focused "Lancashire Audience Choice Award" for Lancashire Filmmakers only, our "LA1Docs" for short documentary films with a Health and Wellbeing theme in connection with Lancaster University. To submit to LA1Shorts your film should be "MADE IN THE UK" and have a maximum length of 16 minutes. Deadline: 28 February 2026.
Our Bursary Fund helps film exhibitors access training opportunities, improve their skills, and boost confidence. If your organisation has training needs or specific development ambitions, our Bursary Fund could help you realise them. Once you find an event or training scheme that works for you, apply for support from us to cover your travel, ticket, and accommodation expenses. Up to £500 per organisation, per annum. Support for in-person and online opportunities. Rolling fund, apply at any time. Submit requests 2 weeks in advance.
