Manchester Art Gallery - Trading Station Ceramics Residency

Manchester Art Gallery are a seeking a ceramicist to create new work (or add to existing work) using the gallery Trading Station exhibition teahouse as a base. This residency is offered to early and mid-career ceramicists working in Manchester or within relatively easily access. We invite you through your practice to tell global stories and explore issues that our collections do not address. Deadline for proposal submission: 5pm, Monday 6th December 2021.

Heritage Crafts - Training Bursary for Black & Ethnically Diverse Makers

Apply for up to £4,000 to start training in a heritage craft or to further develop your skills. This training bursary is targeted at Black and ethnically diverse makers, as this is an under-represented group in heritage crafts. It is sponsored by DCA Consulting and is one of a suite of awards and bursaries offered by Heritage Crafts to support and celebrate craftspeople. Deadline: Monday 13 December 2021, 5pm

Abingdon Studios - Call Out: 3 x Work / Leisure Artist Residencies

Work/Leisure is inviting emerging and mid-career artists to create new work. Across its two previous iterations, Work/Leisure has delivered 7 short-term, non-prescriptive artist residencies designed to enable artists to research and develop new work in the historically and culturally unique location of Blackpool. Through this third iteration of Work/Leisure, Abingdon Studios is inviting artists to Blackpool during 2 key phases of the town’s tourist season – Spring & Summer – and looking to support 3 artists to research and develop new work at Abingdon Studios. Root Fifty-Two - Junior Graphic and Web Designer

We’re searching for a creative and motivated individual who is proactive, hands-on and willing to get stuck into a wide variety of work, both in print and online. The successful candidate will work with a team of like-minded creatives to deliver successful print and web-based projects to our clients. No two days are ever the same, and you will work across a range of sectors, including construction, manufacturing, property, hospitality and retail, to name but a few. Lancaster Arts - Audience and Business Engagement Manager

We are very excited to be recruiting for a brand-new role which will work across different aspects of our creative programme. This role is all about relationships and making things happen. You will be at the centre of our public facing programme, from welcoming audiences and participants to understanding the data behind the figures. You will have a strong understanding of how arts organisations tick, from the perspectives of marketing, data collection and income generation opportunities. Quarry Fold Studio - CG Visualisation Artist

Quarry Fold Studio works within the themed entertainment industry. With over 30 years’ experience we have worked for clients including Liseberg and Blackpool Pleasure Beach, creating immersive themed designs for attractions, restaurants and museums. We are now seeking a new talented member for our team who can help us create concept visuals for a variety of projects working under the project leaders within the studio. No two days are the same and you will be working across multiple design styles depending on the theme of the attraction or season. Deadline: 31st December 2021

Live Music Now - Projects and Marketing Apprentice

Live Music Now are recruiting for a Projects and Marketing Apprentice. This is a new initiative to create opportunities and pathways for people to work in the creative industry. Crafts Council - Craft School - Yinka's Challenge

The Craft School challenge is a nationwide competition to get primary and secondary school students to submit a craft project on one of three themes: play, storytelling, and empowerment. The challenge has been set by Crafts Council trustee and multidisciplinary artist Yinka Ilori and will take place from September 2021 to March 2022. It will encourage and nurture craft thinking and making and provide a moment to celebrate the brilliant craft creativity of a younger generation. Deadline for Registration: 17th December 2021.

Kirkgate Arts & Heritage - Creative Artist Commission - Call for Proposals

Kirkgate Art and Heritage wants to commission an artist to create a representation of Dorothy Wordsworth using light to be erected on a temporary plinth on Main Street, Cockermouth, Cumbria, as part of the 2021 town centre Christmas lights. The 'statue' will celebrate the town's most famous, but often over-looked, daughter and her values and skills in creative writing, nature/the environment and collaborative working. Deadline: 12pm Friday, 3rd September 2021.

PRCA - Small Business Coaching Programme

The Public Relations & Communications Association are launching a bespoke coaching programme to connect small business owners with experienced PR practitioners within the PRCA network. We will be offering surgery style sessions with small business owners to offer free guidance and help educate them about effective PR and communications. The programme starts in April 2021 and runs until October 2021.
