Join the Haworth Art Gallery team as they unveil TWO brand-new exhibitions.
David Youds presents ‘Overlooked’ his first solo exhibition. His oil exhibition of new work is inspired by the people and places in and around Hyndburn and finds beauty in the most unlikely of places.
And
‘Unlocked: A celebration of Recovery Journeys in Secure Mental Health’. It is part of a wider initiative within the Guild Lodge NHS facility, Lancashire, to promote the benefits of art on mental health and raise awareness and understanding of complex mental health conditions. Set up by artists and Occupational Therapists Cassandra Batterby and Mark Love, the collection of mixed artworks features powerful and emotive images portraying the service users’ individual relationships with a range of mental health conditions.
Both exhibitions open on 27 July and run until 15 September.
