Arts Fundraising survey: A call to fundraisers to take part

Fundraising in arts, culture and heritage is under unprecedented pressure. We need your voice - take part in the Arts Fundraising Survey.

TAKE PART

The world of fundraising within the arts, culture and heritage sector is changing immeasurably. Policy is shifting; funding is becoming more competitive; and the support needed from our communities is increasing at rates faster than we can seemingly manage or finance.

Fundraisers are the connectors, the storytellers, the strategists. The ones building relationships, unlocking funding, and creating the conditions for creativity to thrive. It’s a role that has always required energy, resilience and imagination. But right now, like many other sectors, it’s evolving – and fast. The funding environment is shifting. Trusts and foundations are changing how and when they give. Public funding remains uncertain, and individual giving is harder to sustain.

At the same time, expectations are growing. Fundraisers are navigating new technologies like AI, responding to increased reporting requirements, and needing to demonstrate impact in ever more detailed ways whilst also protecting the organisation’s reputation.

That’s why Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy has developed a survey with Baker Richards and Arts Professional. Our aim is to understand what meaningful support looks like in practice.

We want to hear from you – fundraisers across the arts, culture and heritage sector – to understand the challenges you face and the support you need to achieve resilience and success as a fundraiser.

By taking part, you’ll be helping to:

  • Shape future support and development for fundraising across the sector
  • Contribute to a stronger, more sustainable future for arts organisations
  • Highlight the realities of fundraising today

Whether you’re a dedicated fundraiser, a freelancer or consultant, or have fundraising as part of your wider responsibilities, your contribution to this research will be a crucial starting point to providing a new wave of sector support.

Complete the survey and you’ll receive:

✅ Invitation to preview webinar – hear findings first and shape next steps
✅ Entry into prize draw (optional) – four £50 One4All vouchers for a wide range of retailers are available
