Back Back

RABBIT presents a collection of new quilts and collaborations created by artist Sarah-Joy Ford about the rabbits who have been present throughout her life

RABBIT Exhibition, Workshops & Events with Sarah-Joy Ford

At the heart of the show are the two white rabbits, Peter and John, those silent sentinels to Sarah-Joy’s everyday, her constant companions. She tell tales too, of trickster rabbits, of Brer Rabbit, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton Tail; and ponders the mysterious disappearance of Darius – the Guinness book of records ‘world’s longest rabbit’.

The exhibition is an active refusal to put away childish things, instead taking seriously those material intimacies that we build beyond the human. Prioritising the politics of softness in harsh times: and uplifting that which has been denigrated; the femme, the threadbare creature, and our childish dreams.
