Lancashire Firestorm Presents: May 2026

Ahead of Lancashire Firestorm Film Festival 2027, join the award-winning team from the Lancashire Film Network on the last Friday of every month for specially curated independent film nights, only at The Arc Cinema Preston. Bringing together standout shorts from all over the world, breakthrough regional talent, thought provoking features, live Q&As, and more, this is a taste of the film festival experience for film lovers, students, the creatively curious, and local filmmakers.

May's showcase focuses on the films which make us laugh, make us smile, and bring lightness to a heavy world, with a mix of comedy shorts from around the world forming the programme.

Tickets for Firestorm Presents are just £5, and can be bought from Arc Cinema's website, app, and in-foyer.

Submissions for Firestorm 2027 are open at FilmFreeway.com/FirestormFestival, with filmmakers from within Lancashire able to submit their work for free.
