Exhibition: The Monochrome Museum - Black & White in Art & Design
Wednesday 2nd February 2022 to Saturday 21st May 2022
Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery

The artworks and objects featured in the Monochrome Museum exhibition are a snapshot of how black and white has influenced art and design throughout history.

While it is defined as an absence of colour, a black and white palette can make a strong statement. It can communicate function or symbolic meaning; create contrast and stir emotion.
Over the course of the exhibition, the Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery will be expanding on the stories behind some of these pieces (in no particular order!). You can access them in the gallery via QR code.
