Programme Announced for National Festival of Making 2025

The 2025 National Festival of Making takes place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 July across Blackburn town centre, packed full of hands-on workshops and activities for all ages, exhibitions, performances, talks, markets and more. See what's on so you can plan your weekend.

The National Festival of Making is a unique celebration of making, from the kitchen table to the factory floor.
Presenting a programme of work that combines art, manufacturing, making, and communities. Commissioning international and national artists to create world-class works, and offering a year-round programme and a participatory FREE FAMILY festival for all to enjoy.

The festival will also present the outcomes from Season 7 of Art in Manufacturing, our headline commissioning programme.
This season’s resident artists and manufacturer partners are:
- Morag Myerscough with Crown Paints
- Matter at hand with Darwen Terracotta and Faience
- Liaqat Rasul with Herbert Parkinson
