Music Careers & Building Lancashire's Music Sector: LMA On Tour 2026

Over the coming months, Lancashire Music Association (LMA) will take its Music Careers & Building Lancashire’s Music Sector sessions on the road - 24 dates across Lancashire, bringing music-sector know-how, encouragement, connections and opportunities directly into communities.

This is more than a series of events - it’s an opportunity to connect Lancashire’s music community, share knowledge, develop ideas and help shape the future of music across the county.

Starting in Fleetwood and then Knott End, the tour will visit libraries, music venues, colleges, universities and community spaces across the county. The full list of dates will follow.

Who is it for?

Artists, musicians, producers, promoters, managers, event organisers, venues, educators, students, young creatives and anyone interested in developing music activity locally.

And importantly, LMA is especially keen to connect with young people and emerging talent.

Without young people feeling able to invest themselves in music - whether that’s performing, producing, promoting, organising, releasing, managing or simply experimenting - there is no future pipeline for Lancashire’s music sector.

The sessions will explore practical approaches to:

• Putting on and promoting music events
• Releasing and promoting music
• Building audiences 
• Developing music-related careers and creative projects 
• Digital DIY and online activity with music industry executive, Ramin Bostan 
• Building networks and finding follow-up support

There will also be opportunities to ask questions, meet like-minded music people and connect with Lancashire Music Association for follow-up one-to-one advice and clinics.

Fleetwood Library 

• 1-4pm, Saturday 22 August 2026
