The Making The Future poster exhibition by Malcom Garrett is a series provocations and calls to action in support of the value of arts education.

Malcolm Garrett is the Creative Director of Images & Co and Joint Artistic Director of Design Manchester. The original Making The Future exhibition and related Conversations in Creativity talk was part of a collaboration for National Festival of Making at Blackburn Cathedral (June 2019).
The exhibition comprises a series of provocations and calls to action in support of the value of arts education, with quotes and powerful statements from leading voices in the arts and creative industries.

For a limited period there is an opportunity to view it again alongside the Black Artisans Exhibition at Haworth Art Gallery, Accrington.
Both exhibitions are designed to encourage the next generation of creatives and increase pathways to careers in the arts and creative industries.

Malcolm Garrett is an internationally recognised designer who has played a key role in the development of British contemporary graphic design. From art school days in Manchester, to designing iconic record labels for 80s cult bands, to helping found Design Manchester, Malcolm’s connections to the North and its culture are strong.
