The Whitaker invites you to join their Patron Jane Horrocks for Yolk and Aliens (a Film Screening) on 18 October. If you missed it last time, here is your chance to see it!
The northern premiere of Yolk and Aliens, a film by Jane Horrocks in collaboration with Francesca Levi (video artist) and Molly Vivian (musician).
In the film, Horrocks has created a world of memory, utilising home video footage of her daughter’s birth and infancy, juxtaposed with footage of her mother’s decline into Alzheimer’s. The jumble of memory of both stories are surprisingly similar in their non linear presentation. This exploration is coloured with collage effect depiction and archive footage.
This will be followed by a short Q&A with Jane Horrocks.
