Exhibition - 'Assembly' by Maisie Pritchard
Friday 25th November 2022 to Saturday 10th December 2022
Prism Contemporary, Lord Street, Blackburn, B2 1JX

Prism Contemporary presents 'Assembly', a collaborative work by artist Maisie Pritchard, commissioned by the National Festival of Making. Preview on 25/11 and on until 10/12.

Assembly is a collaborative work by artist Maisie Pritchard, Blackburn College students and public workshop participants, commissioned by the National Festival of Making.
Utilising broken parts, pieces and components, Assembly investigates the potential in found objects and waste to make sculpture that is immediate and accessible.
The exhibition is a playful accumulation of sculptural work, which began at the National Festival of Making weekend 2022 and continued in a series of workshops throughout October. In the workshops, participants were invited to collaborate in the making process, enhancing objects by applying a material developed by Maisie as part of her practice: paper clay.
During the exhibition, viewers are welcome to interact with the objects in order to alter and reconfigure the display.
The preview night of Assembly is taking place at Prism Contemporary Gallery, Blackburn.
