Creative PEC New Study Launch: Living the Dream - The Reality of Working in the Creative Industries

The Creative PEC will launch a major new study examining job quality across the creative industries, as part of their State of the Nations research series.  

Building on their 2023 report, The Good Work Review, the study explores job quality across individual creative sub-sectors and demographic groups. It finds that working in the UK’s creative industries in 2026 can be precarious, with low levels of training and collective representation, alongside high levels of reported ‘stress-related illness’.  

The in-person launch will take place on 11 November, 2:30pm-4pm at RSA House, London and will also be streamed live online. A panel of industry experts and policymakers will discuss the findings, explore what they mean for workers and employers, and consider what needs to change to improve the quality of work across the sector.
