Film Hub North - Film Exhibition Fund
Through our Film Exhibition Fund, funding of up to £10,000 per project, per year is available for screening activity taking place between April 2025 - March 2026. The primary objective of the Film Exhibition Fund is to support exhibitors to engage audiences with independent film programmes in a communal setting. All activity supported through the fund should aim to increase in-person audiences for British, independent and international film in the North. Current round closes on 3rd November 2025.

Our Pitch Pot fund provides organisations with quick-fire micro-grants for one-off events and short screening programmes. Awards up to: £3,000. Support for in-person & online events. The fund is suitable for organisations looking to start a local screening programme, put on a special event, or enhance their existing programme with extra audience development work. Rolling, apply at any time until 16 Feb 2026. Submit your request at least 4 weeks in advance. Activity window: Apr 2025 - Mar 2026
Film Freeway LA1 Short - Open Call - Submit your short films
We champion UK short film, and shine a spotlight on supporting Lancashire Filmmakers. We accept submissions from all UK based short film makers with the following categories; "LA1Shorts Best Film" for UK wide submissions, a locally focused "Lancashire Audience Choice Award" for Lancashire Filmmakers only, our "LA1Docs" for short documentary films with a Health and Wellbeing theme in connection with Lancaster University. To submit to LA1Shorts your film should be "MADE IN THE UK" and have a maximum length of 16 minutes. Deadline: 28 February 2026.

Our Bursary Fund helps film exhibitors access training opportunities, improve their skills, and boost confidence. If your organisation has training needs or specific development ambitions, our Bursary Fund could help you realise them. Once you find an event or training scheme that works for you, apply for support from us to cover your travel, ticket, and accommodation expenses. Up to £500 per organisation, per annum. Support for in-person and online opportunities. Rolling fund, apply at any time. Submit requests 2 weeks in advance.
