Presentation - Imagining the Super Slow Way Linear Park (July 2022)

Join us as we present our draft proposal to create multiple opportunities for people to live, play, and feel inspired to build a new, greener and more productive future for themselves and their families. Come and see how you can play your part in making it happen!

The Super Slow Way Linear Park is an ambitious vision for the future of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal corridor in East Lancashire which sees it become a major asset for the communities that live along it in Pendle, Burnley, Hyndburn and Blackburn. 

BDP, an international interdisciplinary practice of architects, engineers, designers and urbanists have been working with Super Slow Way to create a strategy to help make it happen, in collaboration with the people that live here and Timberplay, who believe that a playful landscape is a vital contributor in building healthy communities.

The morning will feature a range of speakers and a Q&A session and after lunch there will be an opportunity to engage in activities, workshops & surgeries with a range of the partners we’re working with along the Super Slow Way. These activities will all be drop in apart from cycling and canoeing which have limited places so will require registration alongside your general admission.
