Free workshop for 16-24s as part of Channel 4's Random Acts

Signal are hosting a free workshop as part of Random Acts North, an amazing opportunity for young people aged 16-24yrs to create stunning short films.

The Random Acts Centre for the North is looking for Short Film Ideas by 16-24 Year-Olds.

From dancers and poets, to filmmakers and artists, we’re looking for young people with the boldest and freshest ideas for short films. If you are aged between 16 and 24 and live or study in the North of England (Cumbria, North East, North West or Yorkshire) you can apply to make a film with a budget of £4000.

The workshop takes place on Saturday 4th July 1pm – 4pm at Signal Film and Media. This is a fantastic opportunity to be in with the chance to create work for Channel 4’s Random Acts short film strand!

An information and creative ideas workshop where you will get chance to find out more and meet the team from the Random Acts Network Centre to find out what they’re looking for, how you can get involved and get help with the application process.

What is Random Acts?

They are bold expressions of creativity delivered in short film form. They come in many flavours: live action, animation, serious, cheeky; made by dancers, visual artists, poets, musicians, writers, filmmakers; they are between 90 seconds and 3 minutes long.
