The Business Growth Hub has partnered with the Technology Strategy Board to invest up to £1m in innovative research and development projects

What is a Launchpad?

These competitions support business innovation through a combination of R & D project funding, business support and attracting new investment. A Launchpad enables businesses to take advantage of being part of a developing cluster to realise their potential for growth.

The technical scope for this project is quite open. Funding will be offered to creative and digital micro, small and medium sized businesses wishing to undertake innovative industrial research projects.

Funding allocation and project details

Grants will be awarded to cover up to 60% of eligible costs of a project. We expect projects to use this funding as a basis on which they can attract further investment. We are expecting total project costs to range between £100k and £120k, although proposals outside this range will be considered.

This Launchpad competition will support the process of accessing the finance needed to complete funding through an event at which successful applicants can make presentations to potential sources of private sector finance.
