Nu Appointment To Help Lancaster Digital Agency Achieve Big Goals

Lancaster-based digital agency, NuBlue, has made a strategic appointment that will help further fuel its growth at home and abroad.

The agency, based in the White Cross Business Park in the city centre, has recruited Kath Bell as its Business Development Executive.  Kath has previously run her own business development consultancy, working with clients such as Bay Tourism Association and Bay Business Centre.  She also has 14 years' experience as a European Sales Manager and has worked in Germany.

This international experience, coupled with her ability to speak three languages, dovetails with NuBlue's desire to actively explore overseas business markets, as well as acquiring more UK-based clients in its specialist areas of pharmaceuticals, education and e-commerce.

The agency was recently shortlisted for New Exporter of the Year in the Insider International Trade Awards and has two key clients in the USA.

Twelve months of continuous growth, has led to NuBlue relocating from its previous home at the InfoLab at Lancaster University.  Since the summer move, it has already recruited 4 additional employees, including Kath.

NuBlue's managing director, Michael Ashworth, says: "We have ambitious growth targets and Kath's appointment is a key milestone within our business plan.  Prior to her appointment, we have gained the stretching ISO9001 accreditation with the British Standards Institute and completed UKTI's Passport to Export Programme. This gives Kath a great platform from which to explore new opportunities for NuBlue."
