Crafts Council Hothouse - Open for Applications

Hothouse is an intensive development programme for emerging makers. Applications are now open for Hothouse 5. The deadline for applications is Monday 20th October 2014 at 12 noon. 

Before you complete sections 1 to 7 of the online form you should: 

  • Read the Application Guidance and FAQ’s document (PDF - please note that you will need Acrobat Reader 8.0™ or above, download from Adobe UK). 
  • Note that the online application form saves the information that you input for up to 2 days afterwhich the form will reset itself.
  • Make sure your six application images meet the requirements in the Application Guidance and are ready to be uploaded.
  • Ensure that you have two professional referees and have asked their permission. References will be taken up only if you are offered a place on the programme. 
  • Make sure that you have a debit or credit card ready to make payment.
  • Note that submission of the online form is final (by clicking the Submit button).
  • Once you have completed the form and clicked the Submit button you will be directed to a payment page where a fee of £50 can be paid via a secure payment gateway.

Hothouse provides the tools in which to grow a sustainable and successful practice and nurtures a strong peer network between participants, mentors, course leaders and partners. 

Hothouse runs in partnership with regional organisations, including Higher Education Institutes, galleries and development agencies.
