Fab Scholarship Launched

Manchester's Fab Lab is now recruiting students of all ages for their renowned Fab Academy Diploma course.

Manchester's Fab Lab is now recruiting students of all ages for their renowned Fab Academy Diploma course - an intensive 20 week programme for inventors and entrepreneurs to design and make just about anything.

Once a week the Fab Lab HQ in Manchester will become part of a global hub of learning when students from 15 countries link up to the famous Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for a video lecture by Professor Neil Gershenfeld, the Fab Lab founder.

The cost of the Fab Academy course is 5,000 Euro (£3,905) and the Manufacturing Institute is offering scholarship funding for up to 50 per cent of the total cost for the right candidates.

Plus our special guest Dr Ania Servant, a Knowledge Exchange Fellow at Manchester University's Graphene Institute, will be outlining the latest global research with this amazing material which is exciting scientists and manufacturers around the world. Fab Academy course delegates will be offered an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Graphene Institute labs at Manchester University.

The Fab Academy Diploma course runs from January 21st to June 3rd 2015, and requires a commitment of a minimum of 30 hours per week.
