Creative Industries Federation - UK Roadshows Launched

The Federation is delighted to announce its first three events of the UK Roadshows

As the first national membership organisation for all the country's public arts, cultural education and commercial creative industries, the Creative Industries Federation is embarking on a programme of events across all four corners of the UK. They are holding the first events in Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds, with many more to follow.

These events are just part of a busy agenda over the next two months, including a series of in-depth policy events. The Federation have also begun the formation of our Advisory Council, while their National Policy Consultation gathers pace. These will inform policy positions in preperation to challenge the next government after the election. 

In order to take part in the events and other activities the first step is to become a member. We are pleased to announce that the Federation are offering a 10% reduction for all those who join between now and the end of June. UK Roadshows

The Federation is delighted to announce our first three UK roadshows, in which leading figures from the arts, creative industries and cultural education will come together to forge new links and map the challenges the sector faces in their area:  

Manchester - Monday 27 April, Whitworth Gallery
Birmingham - Wednesday 20 May, Fazeley Studios
Leeds - Monday 1 June, Opera North

Further roadshows will follow in other areas across the UK throughout the year. Partner organisations with form the Federation's UK Council. More details will be released soon.

Policy Events
 
The Federation is also launching a series of specialist policy events.  These are smaller discussions at which a selection of experts and interested parties will hold detailed conversations on specific areas of policy affecting the creative industries.  The first three Policy events will be as follows:

Philanthropy and Funding for the Arts - Tuesday 21 April, National Theatre
BBC World Service - Wednesday 6 May, Broadcasting House
Access to Careers in the Creative Industries - Thursday 14 May, Somerset House (in association with the Bridge Group)
