Ezra Furman to headline Cloudspotting Festival: 24-26 July

The countdown to Cloudspotting is nearly at an end and there's now just one day to go until the first acts take to the main stage at this years' festival of music, art and outdoor pursuits set in a stunning location in the heart of the Gisburn Forest .

Headline acts for 2015 include: The Earlies, Dutch Uncles, Jane Weaver and Sara Lowes.Sunday night is always special at Cloudspotting with a riotous conclusion from Chicagoan Ezra Furman and The Boyfriends (above).

This year Furman’s released his most fully realised and streamlined record (Perpetual Motion People), chock-full of snarling, zestful tunes and invested with the feeling that, this time, people are really paying attention.

By rights, Ezra Furman should be channeling his inner Bono right now, but propelled by the success of his sixth record, Furman is gearing up for a some select summer festival appearances followed by his biggest UK tour to date in the autumn.

Aside from the music, Cloudspotting will be presenting a variety of family-friendly arts, including touring theatre from The Flying Buttresses and The Fabularium Company.

Forest arts trails, woodcraft workshops, interactive music workshops and a documentary cinema programme also feature during the weekend.

For 2015 Cloudspotting has a wider selection of fine food than ever before from award-winning wood-fired sourdough pizzas, locally reared meats, Indian and Mexican street-food, crepes, waffles, top coffee and teas and smoothies.
