Following on from last year's NET social media events and the recent collaboration with InfoLab21, Creative Lancashire presents another opportunity to attend our popular Workshop & Surgery Days on Thursday 31^st March & Thursday 7^th April respectively.

Morning session

Find customers online - and keep them: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

You have a website - but is it working as hard as you are? How do you get people to visit it? And once they're visiting, how do you keep them there long enough to buy?

This interactive seminar is an introduction to search engine optimisation (SEO) and content writing for the Web. It will introduce you to simple techniques you can use on your own site to boost your Google rankings, bring you more visitors and turn those visitors into customers.

The session will include:

• What is SEO and what can it do for me?
• Performing basic SEO
• The top 10 SEO techniques you can start implementing NOW
• Analysing results and acting on them
• Making words work - why content matters
• 'Sticky' content. Ten simple tips to grab your reader
• Get your Google or content questions answered

Social Media Strategies - Social Commerce & Brand Visibility: Twitter & Facebook Workshop

How do you integrate social media into your existing marketing strategies?

How can Social Media help drive sales and add value to your ecommerce capacity?

How do you extend your existing web/social media presence for your business?

Social media can be the most important business tool in your marketing, communications and sales strategy. The session will demonstrate how using Twitter, Facebook & other online applications can extend your web & social media presence to drive business.

The workshop and live demonstration will cover the following:

• Overview of Twitter & Facebook - current trends and developments
• Social commerce - selling via social media
• Socialising your website - adding SM functionality
• Using Twitter as a search engine & customer service tool
• Why is Twitter particularly good for Business 2  Business enterprises
• Using Twitter as an effective stay-at-home, free networking event
• Using trending topics, hashtags, Tweetdeck and other SM features

Delegates who attended the Beyond Websites event at Cotton Court on 15^th March or the Workshops on 31^st March can also take advantage of the opportunity to receive a practical 1-2-1 Surgery with our team of advisors including Sam Allcock (Custard Media), Nikki Hessford (Miss Fit UK Group), Bruce Thomas (Modern English) and others.

The Surgeries will take place the week following the Workshops on Thursday 7^th April at Cotton Court, Preston.
