LeftCoast with support from Blackpool Council and Grundy Art Gallery are developing a two storey artist studio and project space above the historical Abingdon Street indoor Market in the heart of Blackpool Town Centre.

Applications to become part of the new Abingdon Studios development are NOW OPEN.

Deadline for studio applications: Friday 3rd October 2014 by midday.

Abingdon Studios has come about through regional research that was undertaken in Oct 2012 to assess the need for artist studio space in Blackpool.

The research was led by FYCreatives- The Fylde Coasts only Creative Industry Hub, part of Blackpool Council.

Who is LeftCoast:
LeftCoast is an independent arts consortium with a 3 year programme to engage more people with arts and culture in Blackpool, professionally develop the creative community and the cultural landscape to sustain it, commission bold new work and help change negative perceptions of the town. Leftcoast is funded through Arts Council England and the Creative People & Places programme.
